COLOPHON
How ThisPhase is assembled.
Notes on the site’s editorial approach, visual identity, typography, accessibility, and construction.
Editorial approach
ThisPhase is written for people living with ataxia and the people who support them. The goal is clear organization, plain language, and direct paths to more detailed material.
Resource links favor government health agencies, academic medical centers, established patient organizations, and clinical references. External sources remain responsible for their own content.
Medical boundary
ThisPhase provides educational information. It does not diagnose, recommend individual treatment, or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
Sudden problems with balance, speech, vision, swallowing, or coordination may require emergency evaluation.
Visual identity
The ThisPhase mark uses nested arcs meeting a gold orientation point. It represents changing phases, balance, and steady progress.
#123B46#176B6F#8FD3C8#E3B655#E6F4F1Type and construction
Newsreader is used for headings and DM Sans for body copy. Both are served through Google Fonts.
The site is built as lightweight static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, published with ChatGPT Sites, and presented at thisphase.com.
Layouts are responsive, text remains readable on small screens, navigation supports touch and keyboard use, and the pages avoid unnecessary motion.
Data Analysis
Vetted sources for rare diseases are limited. Sources include arxiv.org.
Maintenance
ThisPhase is a growing reference. Pages, downloadable materials, and external links may be revised as the project develops or source information changes.
Last site update: September 13, 2026.
